1 pound italian sausage
1 medium onion chopped
1 clove garlic minced
2 small chili peppers
1 can tomato juice (Large can)
1 each bay leaf
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon marjoram
1/4 teaspoon rosemary
1/4 teaspoon oregano
Instructions
Brown sausage, onion and garlic. Add other ingredients, cook for at least 3-1/2 to 4 hours. Add tomato paste if you want a thicker sauce. Note: You really do need to use the large (7" high) can of tomato juice, and it works better if you start it in the morning and let it cook out all day long in a pot on top of the stove. If you use a crockpot, put it on high and don't use the lid...and make sure someone is around to check it every so often to make certain that it hasn't boiled away.
